KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 — e-Commerce platform, Dreamshop.com.my is collaborating with PolicyStreet.com to offer ‘Car Insurance Made Easy’ — enabling hassle-free car insurance purchases and renewals online through an interest-free instalment payment plan.
DCR Marketing chief executive office (CEO) Rosalie Lin said the plan allows car owners to compare quotes from insurers and major banks in Malaysia.
“This facility, which comes with an interest-free Instalment Payment Plan, is the first of its kind in the market.
“It enables private vehicle owners to renew and get their insurance cover note within 24 hours on a workday,” she said at the virtual launch of ‘Dreamshop x PolicyStreet Car Insurance Made Easy’ today. DCR Marketing is the parent company of Dreamshop.com.my, while PolicyStreet.com is an insurance technology company that is currently working with over 40 life and general insurance and takaful providers in Malaysia.
Lin added that customers may also renew their road tax via the car insurance platform, and the physical copy would be delivered to them
The platform offers comprehensive car insurance policies from AXA Affin General Insurance Bhd, Berjaya Sompo Insurance Bhd, Tune Protect Group Bhd, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Bhd, Pacific and Orient Insurance Co. Bhd, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Bhd, MSIG Insurance Bhd, RHB Insurance Bhd, Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Bhd and Etiqa General Takaful Bhd.
Buyers may apply for the interest-free instalment payment plans from Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank), United Overseas Bank (M) Bhd, CIMB Bank Bhd, HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd, Hong Leong Bank Bhd, Public Bank Bhd, RHB Bank Bhd, AmBank (M) Bhd, Standard Chartered Bank and OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd.
PolicyStreet co-founder and CEO, Yen Ming Lee said together with Dreamshop, PolicyStreet is bringing affordability and easing customers’ financial burden by allowing them to purchase their car insurance through the Instalment Payment Plan, which offers a payment plan of up to 36 months.
