AirAsia Money partners PolicyStreet to offer digital car insurance

Car owners renewing their car insurance will not only get the best deal in town but even stand a chance to win a car, as airasia money introduces a digital car insurance service on the airasia Super App.

In a statement, the company said that it has partnered with PolicyStreet, the digital car insurance service that includes insurance and road tax renewal, allowing car owners to make price comparison of various insurance providers before choosing the best deal.

It also offers add-on coverage such as windscreen, flood, extra drivers and road tax home delivery service, it added.

“Our partnership with PolicyStreet enables us to offer greater options, value and speed in the digital car insurance market,”

“We aim to provide simple, easy and affordable insurance service to over 36 million airasia Super App users and car owners,”

said airasia money head Mohamad Hafidz Mohd Fadzil.

He added that airasia money’s expansion plan is on track as we will be launching its offerings in Indonesia in fourth quarter of 2021, insurance and investment services in Malaysia in fourth quarter of 2021 and digital car insurance premium instalment plans in first quarter of 2022.

The partnership with PolicyStreet allows airasia money to offer comprehensive digital car insurance from underwriters such as Tune Protect Group Bhd, AXA Affin General Insurance Bhd, Etiqa General Takaful Bhd, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Bhd, among others, airasia super app said.

PolicyStreet also complements airasia Super App’s strategy with its digital platform powered with applicaition programming interface (API), real-time technology and integration with 10 insurers.

Customers can renew their digital car insurance by visiting airasia.com/money or via airasia super app. All they need to do is fill in their personal and car details, and get the best deal from over 10 quotations in just 60 seconds, it said.

Upon purchase, they will receive the e-policy via their e-mail within five minutes. For the road tax renewal service, airasia money through MYEG provides home delivery nationwide between two and five working days, it added.

“We have also partnered with insurers to bring down the cost of insurance exclusively for airasia customers,”

An online insurance platform, PolicyStreet claimed to be the first and only InsurTech approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) with a financial adviser and Islamic financial adviser license.

To celebrate this latest product offering, airasia money is running a contest offering a grand prize of Perodua Axia 1.0 Lava Red GExtra. Any car owner can participate when they renew their car insurance with airasia money from now until Nov 2. No minimum insurance premium is required.
