What is this product about?

This policy protects you from unexpected events such as accidental death, permanent total disability, medical expenses, hospital allowance, delayed baggage, travel delay, loss of money, emergency medical evacuation and repatriation, loss of deposit or cancellation/curtailment, compassionate visitation, home contents, and additional costs for returning the rental vehicle while you are travelling Overseas.

I am not a Malaysian. Is it possible for me to purchase the plan?

If you are a non-Malaysian, you should be a permanent resident of Malaysia or work permit holders, long-term social visit pass holder, or student pass holder in Malaysia and your dependants residing in Malaysia.

Eligible age for the plan?

You shall not be less than thirty (30) days nor more than eighty (80) years of age.

What is the period of the coverage?

For all other benefits, this insurance will begin when you leave your place of residence or business in Malaysia (whichever is later) to begin your journey and will end when you return to your place of residence or business in Malaysia (whichever is earlier).

The insurance under Benefit 9A (Loss of Deposit or Cancellation) begins when this Policy/Schedule is issued and ends when the intended trip departs from your place of residence or business in Malaysia.

You will be covered for a trip that begins when you leave your place of residence or business in Malaysia (whichever comes first) for a direct journey to the intended destination and ends when you return to Malaysia, but it must not begin more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to your scheduled departure time and must end when one of the following events occurs:

  • Twenty-four (24) hours upon your arrival in Malaysia
  • Upon reaching your place of residence or business in Malaysia (whichever is the earlier)
  • Expiry of the Period of Insurance

Except for one-way trips, which end twenty-four (24) hours after the scheduled time of arrival at the final destination Overseas, a journey/trip must include a return to Malaysia during the Period of Insurance indicated below. Any layover in the case of one-way coverage shall not exceed one (1) month.

This insurance is not applicable for trips that last more than one hundred (100) days in a row for the Annual Trip Plan/Policy and one hundred and eighty (180) days in a row for the Per Trip Plan.

The Period of Insurance cannot be extended.

Is it possible for me to make a nomination for this plan?

Yes, your child or spouse will receive the reimbursement if accidental death or permanent total disablement happens to you.

If I’m holding a one-way ticket, am I eligible to purchase this plan?

Yes. you are eligible to purchase this plan if you’re holding a one-way ticket.

What is the procedure for cancelling my coverage and receiving a refund of the premium paid?

    • Per trip plan

You may cancel a trip plan by notifying Us in writing. Once the insurance Policy/Schedule is issued, there is no way to get your money back.

    • Annual trip/Policy

Yes, you may cancel this Policy by giving Us 7 days’ written notice, in which case you will be entitled to a refund of the premium less a premium at Our reduced rates for the time the Policy was in effect during the current Period of Insurance.

What are some of the policy’s general exclusions?

The following losses are not covered by this policy:

  • Self-inflicted injury or illness, insanity, venereal disease;
  • Pre-existing conditions;
  • The influence of alcohol or drugs (other than drugs taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a Medical Practitioner);
  • Racing, speed testing, motor rallies and contests, and (reasonably) mountaineering requiring ropes or guidance), rock climbing, hiking, or walking in remote places unless accompanied by a guide, any activity involving the Insured Person being airborne (whether or not with licenced guides), any activity involving the Insured Person being airborne (whether or not with licenced guides) not limited to parachuting, potholing, hand gliding, bungee jumping, skydiving, etc. Underwater activities that necessitate the use of an artificial breathing apparatus (excluding scuba diving) are referred to as diving. Hunting, martial arts, wrestling, boxing, and horseback riding are examples of recreational diving. (Unless it’s a recreational activity);
  • Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or AIDS Related Complex (ARC);
  • Engaging in sports or games in a professional capacity or where you would or could earn income or remuneration from engaging in such sports or games;
  • You are travelling contrary to the advice of a Medical Practitioner and/or are travelling for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment Overseas;
  • Operational issue(s) of the Common Carrier or airport such as but not limited to pilot is on emergency or medical leave and no replacement of pilot, insufficient headcount of cabin crew, delay due to baggage overloaded within airline, delay in check-in process or long queue at check-in counter causing delay to the boarding process under Travel Delay benefit.
  • You undertaking any journey against the travel advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia or the Ministry of Health of Malaysia in relation to actual or threatened strike, riot or civil commotion, war or warlike situation, outbreak of disease (including an epidemic/pandemic) or unsafe health conditions, or impending natural disasters, to the country or territory of your destination, unless the journey had already commenced prior to the issuance of the travel advice.

How much do I have to pay for Travel Supreme?

There are two types of premium depends on the types of trip.

The price range for individual between RM24 to RM148; while for family, the price range is between RM56 to RM355.

      • Plan B

The price range for individual between RM31 to RM179; while for family, the price range is between RM77 to RM463.

    • Annual Policy

The price range for individual between RM182.32 to RM330.72.

      • Plan B

The price range for individual between RM222.60 to RM378.42.
